Welcome to Mid Valley Volleyball Parent Association:
MVPA Mission: The Mid Valley Parent Association (MVPA) is a parent organization dedicated to supporting the Mid Valley Volleyball Club and its members. This organization promotes a cooperative and collaborative environment between the Mid Valley staff and parents, with the primary focus on the needs of the Mid Valley volleyball teams.
The MVPA will hold a meeting once and maybe twice a month. At these meetings, the parents can come collaborate and be updated on what is happening with the club.
The MVPA will put together 3 major fundraisers a year for those who wish to participate in raising funds. The money raised can go towards your child’s club dues and /or travel expenses that occur when going to tournaments. Fundraisers will include a club sponsorship banner, selling wreaths in November for Christmas time, “Mission to Excel”, and have talked about putting together a family Bingo night.
We would like a parent from each team to be the “team parent”. This parent would attend club meetings and would keep their team parents and players informed, support the team coaches as needed, and coordinate phone trees.
Being a parent of a player for the club is as much fun for the parents as the player. Being part of the MVPA, you meet other parents and make forever friendships. Our children build strong bonds with each other on the court which, in return, play better as a team. Parents can help with that and also build the strong bonds with the families. During tournaments, it is fun to put together potlucks and meeting places so that the team can eat together and the families can visit.
It is not only your child joining the club, you as the family are also joining the club. We cannot let the children have all the fun!!
